29. The inspector may, after the external inspection, require that internal inspection of any pressure vessel be carried out within the time limit he determines.
In order to determine the internal condition of a pressure vessel, the inspector may replace the internal visual inspection by any other method of nondestructive testing such as a leak test, ultrasound or radiographic examination.
